Topic: Grid
Winter Semester 2021/22
Topic Framework:
Analyze the grid as a reference design system for structuring content, serving as a rational framework, for easy absorption of elements, for organizing elements in relation to a foundation, in relation to other elements, or in relation to other parts of the same element.
Topic diversification:
Grid - reference design system for energy transmission
Electric vehicle charging station in cooperation with Agevolt a.s.
(Priority topic)
Specification:
Design of a charging station for electro-mobiles, which will be suitable for various urban buildings in terms of architectural impact (historical centers, interwar period, post-war to the present). The charging station can be a single or double charger, it should be suitable for both exterior and interior (underground garages). The method of installation is optional (column design, wall or other), but it must reflect the requirement of feasibility (facades of historic buildings, etc.). Creative design processing with the possibility of mass expansion into space (35% of parking spaces). The design must take into account the connection of the charging station to the electrical connection by cable. It can be realized from the ground, wall or directly incorporated into the ground. The connection of electric cars can be realized in two versions. This is done either by installing a charging port on the charging station, or by cable and thus a cable outlet from the charging station with a length of approx. 3 m directly to the vehicle. The technical equipment of the charging station can be slightly modified. However, the requirement for internal technology with dimensions of 110 mm wide, 300 mm high and 150 mm deep generally applies. The operation of the charging station should be very intuitive with a small graphical description of the operation. No display or buttons are required for operation. The control can be realized completely via the application in the smartphone or via the web interface. However, a necessary requirement is to place an authorization NFC tag the size of a credit card. The company logo on the charging station is not a necessary requirement, but it is welcome. The possibility of white labeling is welcome.
Grid - reference design system for resource circulation
FAD Separator in cooperation with FAD STU
(Alternative topic)
Specification:
Design of a functional garbage bins for waste sorting at the Faculty of Architecture and Design STU, including the creation of a prototype. Sustainable design - use of ecological materials, recyclability, low carbon footprint, intelligent design, motivation for ecological behavior, reasonable construction costs, Functionality, hygiene, durability Visual integration into the premises and environment of the FAD building Modular layout option (optional) Division into paper, plastics, mixed waste - each with a volume of at least 70 l, max. 100 l, possibility of individual adjustment based on the chosen philosophy.
