You have been selected by your home university for Erasmus+ study semester / year at Faculty of Architecture and Design, STU in Bratislava? Congratulations! This is what`s going to happen next.
1. NOMINATION
Your university will nominate you (= sends us basic information about you). The nomination is done directly in our academic system. And you will receive automatic notification from the AIS system together with a link and your login details.
Nomination deadlines:
Winter semester or full year - 31. 5. / Summer semester - 31. 10.
Please, note, the Erasmus+ nomination must be done by your home university representative, coordinator or International office staff member. You cannot do it yourself.
2. COMPLETING YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION
After receiving the login details, you can proceed by filling in required personal data in the system (home address, place of birth, nationality,...) and uploading the following documents:
- proof of your English language level (document issued by your university is sufficient)
- Transcript of academic records - document issued and signed by your university with the list of all the courses (including grades and credits obtained) that you have done up until now.
- proof of health insurance - a scan or photo of the EU health insurance card. If you do not have EU health insurance, you can either get a commercial travel insurance before your trip to Bratislava. Or you can apply for health insurance in one of three health insurance companies in Slovakia after your arrival.
- your photo (will be used for your student card later)
After this step is complete, you can download your Application form and send it signed by you and your home university coordinator to maria.palenikova@stuba.sk.
3.ONLINE LEARNING AGREEMENT
The last and the most important document is your Learning agreement. You will create it through your university system (if it has an integrated OLA module) or directly through the Online Learning Agreement portal. Ask your home university coordinator which way to choose.

At the end of the nomination period, our faculty coordinator will contact you directly via email and send you the updated list of available courses. We recommend waiting for the course update and doing the OLA after receiving the updated list.
Deadline for students` applications and learning agreements:
Winter semester or full year - 30. 6. / Summer semester - 30. 11.
4. ACCEPTING YOUR NOMINATION
After all this is done and complete, we will confirm your nomination in the system. You will receive an automated email with an attached acceptance letter and information on how to request a spot at the STU dormitory (if you are interested). In case you need to apply for a visa, you will get another acceptance letter (signed by the dean) in both English and Slovak language by email.
5. PLANNING YOUR TRAVEL
You should be in Bratislava at least one - two working days before the start of the semester`s teaching period (see the academic calendar).
